The Farm Girl & Surf Bum Are Engaged!

chante__andrew_engagement_invitation2

Recently, my 2 beautiful friends got engaged! Both South African and with a love for the King Protea – South Africa’s national flower – I decided to create an invitation combining both the King Protea and their classic style. They celebrated their engagement in a beautiful garden, with delicious canapés and cocktails for days.

Me & You Look Book wishes them all the love in the world as they begin their life journey together!

Elegant Detailing

Think about details in everything, like china and linen patterns. Hand calligraphy gives wedding stationery a touch of old-fashioned
etiquette. “Simple has been done before,” said wedding planner Kasey Skobel-Conyers. “Think Old City. People need a new idea of what chic can be.”

Smokey Vintage Wedding Invitation

Breathtakingly Beautiful!

Drawing on the rich details of Maggie and Christopher’s wedding venue, as well as their love of books, Sideshow Press developed this beautiful suite of materials for the couple’s wedding at the Boston Public Library. The inspiration is reflected throughout the pieces, from the floral liners cut from a vintage book to the gold foil details which reflect the venue’s architecture. Head on over to Sideshow’s blog to get a closer look.

The couple wanted the invitation to set the tone for an elegant evening full of beautiful florals, architecture and books. The gold leaf and molding details of the Boston Public Library are reflective through out the design of their book bound invitation. The liners are each unique – cut from a (falling apart) vintage floral book and the library sleeves in the back of the invitation house the response card and cocktail party invite neatly.

Breathtakingly beautiful!

A Special Scent

If you’re planning a rustic or a purple themed wedding, this idea is perfect! Give your name seating cards a special scent by tying together lavender bunches from a local farm with calligraphed name tags.

Natural White Seal

This ecru on natural white seal was custom designed for photographer and artist Ashley Skjaveland. If you’re planning on a white themed wedding, this beautiful touch could add that extra bit of interest to your wedding stationery.
