The Wonders of Washi Tape

Washi tape is typically made from natural fibres, such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan — the Mulberry, the Mitsumata shrub or the Gampi tree. It is self-adhesive and available in rolls much like regular sticky tape. They are often partially transparent which allows the colour of the material underneath to show through. Most washi tapes are strong and functional as well as pretty, making them wonderful for both everyday and decorative use, and are cost-effective especially if you’re having a low-budget wedding.
